Specific financial aid is an ideal tool for providing rapid, personalised financial assistance, either on a one-off basis or for the duration of the academic year, to students in difficulty who request it.
Specific aid can take two forms:
- or one-off assistance for students who are temporarily experiencing serious difficulties: ASAP. One-off assistance is provided in response to a serious social situation where an annual allowance cannot be granted during the academic year. Because of their seriousness, these situations require one-off assistance to enable students to continue their studies.
- or annual assistance granted to students experiencing long-term difficulties: ASAA
To qualify, you must be aged 35 or under.
Applications are examined anonymously by a committee chaired by the CROUS director. A preliminary interview may be possible between the applicant for emergency aid and a Crous social services assistant, in order to assess the student's overall situation.
Students applying for annual assistance must meet the eligibility criteria of the Dossier Social Étudiant.
To make your request, you must make an appointment with a Crous Aix-Marseille-Avignon social services assistant.
Annual allowance: prior application for a grant through the DSE, explaining your particular situation. After an initial examination, you will be asked to fill in a specific application form for an annual allowance (based on a model drawn up by CNOUS), which must be returned to Crous with the supporting documents corresponding to your situation and listed in the appendix to the application form (in particular, a letter explaining your request, a photocopy of your student card, proof of income, proof of identity and a bank statement).
One-off allowance: These situations of hardship are certified by a social assessment. Any student enrolled in an initial training course at an establishment or section of an establishment that is eligible for the student social security scheme may apply for one-off assistance. If your situation warrants it, you may exceptionally be granted more than one grant during the same academic year. All applications must be made by appointment with a social services assistant from the Crous Aix-Marseille-Avignon.
