The City of Marseille aims to help improve living and accommodation conditions for students, as these are key factors in their success in higher education.
This proactive policy in favour of students includes support for initiatives implemented by various organisations and associations whose missions and projects contribute to its objectives.
In 2020, the COVID-19 health crisis highlighted the precarious situation of students, and the City of Marseille joined forces with its institutional and voluntary partners to offer emergency solutions.
In January 2021, a workshop on the theme of student precariousness, organised by the Rectorat de la région académique Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur with the City of Marseille, brought together all the local players involved in the fight against student precariousness, in order to encourage the emergence of concrete proposals for building a high-quality, long-term scheme to prevent and combat student precariousness.
This is why, in 2021/2022, the City of Marseille's action will be particularly focused on combating student insecurity, which has been exacerbated by the health crisis, and particular attention will be paid to providing information and facilitating access to assistance for students.
This is why the City of Marseille is supporting "Le Dégaine", run by Sortie d'Amphi.
