The FAJE programme enables young graduates looking for their first job to enhance their initial training by gaining work experience in a company or association abroad.
Amount :
- 1st phase: Young people who are not receiving Pôle Emploi benefit are paid.
- 2nd phase: 700 euros per month during the assignment abroad as well as travel assistance (reimbursement of round-trip tickets at the most economical rate based on receipts, up to a maximum of 500 euros, and assistance with visa costs up to a maximum of 300 euros).
During their participation in the programme, beneficiaries have the status of vocational training trainees. They are paid as such during the training period.

NB: work-linked training is not considered as a first job here, as it is carried out during a training period.
Eligible territories: countries worldwide excluding France (French and overseas territories) and the principalities of Monaco and Andorra.
To apply, you must attend an information meeting, after which you can submit your application. The selection process, organised by the training organisation, is carried out by committees made up of the various programme partners.
Contents of the system :
- 1st phase: a training and support session to enable participants to carry out a personal and professional assessment and to acquire and use job search tools. The aim is also to ascertain whether it would be appropriate to gain work experience abroad and to find a 6-month assignment there.
- 2nd phase: for those whose projects are selected, a 6-month work placement in a company or association abroad.
