The CeGIDDs are free, anonymous and walk-in clinics. They offer help and advice. They offer appropriate screening for HIV infection (AIDS), viral hepatitis and sexually transmitted infections, treatment for STIs, preventive treatment for HIV infection (PrEP) and post-exposure treatment (TPE).
The centres have TROD (Rapid Diagnostic Tests) for HIV, hepatitis C, hepatitis B and syphilis.
Depending on recommendations, you may be offered vaccinations against hepatitis A and B and against HPV.
The centres are responsible for preventing unwanted pregnancies by prescribing and dispensing emergency contraception, referring requests for voluntary termination of pregnancy to a health facility or a competent professional, and preventing and detecting sexual violence.
Opening times have been adapted: between midday and 2pm or at the end of the day until 7pm.
In Marseille, opening hours mean that services are available from 9am to 7pm, three days a week, from 9am to 5pm two days a week and on Saturday mornings (excluding bank holidays and school holidays).
A French sign language (LSF) service for the hearing impaired is available at the La Joliette centre in Marseille.
Prevention materials (condoms, HIV self-tests) are available in the centres and during outreach activities.
