Regional aid for international mobility Studies
Financial support for students going abroad for one or two semesters as part of their course.
Age: Under 30
What is it?
  • Successful applicants will be awarded a grant of :
    • 125 per week for students whose tax residence is in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur (tax notice for 2023 based on income for 2022)
    • 100 per week for students whose tax residence is outside the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region (tax assessment for 2023 based on income for 2022)
  • An additional lump sum of €400 may be awarded to students with disabilities;
  • An additional flat-rate payment of €200 may be awarded to cover the cost of visas, on production of supporting documents.
  • Maximum amount (excluding lump sum) that can be awarded each year under the Regional Aid for International Student Mobility to a single student 2,500 for students domiciled for tax purposes in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur and €2,000 for students domiciled for tax purposes in another region, corresponding to 20 weeks' tuition.

Payment will be made in two instalments:

  • 80 % on presentation of the certificate of commencement of stay,
  • 20 % on presentation of end-of-stay certificate
Conditions

To qualify, you must :

  • Be a student in initial training, including work-linked training;
  • Be enrolled in a regional public or private higher education establishment under agreement with the Region;
  • To prepare for a State diploma, a diploma recognised by the State, a University Diploma in International Technological Education (DUETI) or a diploma listed in the RNCP (National Register of Professional Certifications);
  • Be under 30 years of age on 31 December 2023;
  • Study abroad for one or two semesters outside the European Union, France (metropolitan and overseas territories) and the principalities of Monaco and Andorra. The minimum duration of mobility to validate a semester is 12 weeks.

These criteria are cumulative.

Social criteria must be taken into account: the student's family quota (= total gross income divided by the number of shares) must not exceed €26,000. The student's family quota is calculated on the basis of the tax notice for 2023 based on the student's income for 2022.

Steps

To apply, you will need to collect your application file from the higher education establishment where you are enrolled.
The latter will submit to the regional departments the applications that it considers eligible for the scheme.
