Food & Solidarity

A solidarity restaurant in Marseille: Le République
What is it?

Le République, a back-to-work restaurant run by the La Petite Lili association, has taken over the former Parisian café at 1 place Sadi-Carnot (corner of rue Méry), just a stone's throw from the Old Port, and seats 200 people.

With the aim of bringing all of Marseille together in our establishment, we welcome a traditional clientele paying the standard rate for their meals, as well as beneficiaries to whom we offer lunches and dinners for a token €1.

All our beneficiaries are supported by partner associations and social structures that do a fantastic job every day.

Eating at Le République restaurant means helping to create jobs, allowing everyone to enjoy a real moment at the table, but above all it means having a desire for taste, sharing and universality.

Conditions

To qualify for the €1 meals, you must be a member of a partner association such as : Les petits frères des pauvres, AFOR - Saint Joseph, Maternity Shelter, Telemachus or the Pouplaire Relief.
