What is it?

The aim of the departmental centres for access to the law is to inform people of their rights and obligations and to guide them through the administrative procedures.
They are presided over by the Tribunal de Grande Instance. These centres have a number of objectives:
- Providing assistance in non-jurisdictional proceedings, with the possibility of applying for legal aid, and then paying all or part of the legal costs incurred.
- Provide free, anonymous legal advice
- Provide assistance in drafting legal documents. - The offices are staffed by legal professionals
