Supplementary health cover is a way of helping you pay for your health care.
Depending on your resources: Supplementary health cover costs you nothing, or supplementary health cover costs you less than €1 per day per person.
Your medical expenses are paid by the compulsory health insurance organisations and the organisation you have chosen to manage the complementary health insurance scheme.
To apply for complementary health insurance, you must be covered by health insurance and not exceed the maximum income limit.
You can do this online via your Ameli account, or by sending the form and supporting documents to your health insurance fund.
