France Volontaires is the French platform for international exchange and solidarity volunteering. Operated by the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, it brings together the French government, local authorities and associations in a mission of general interest: the development and promotion of international volunteering for exchange and solidarity.

The VSI programme is aimed primarily at graduates with skills and initial experience.

The VSI enables you to get involved in international solidarity actions, particularly in the following areas:

• Teaching
• Urban and rural development
• Health
• Emergency action

You can sign up with the following organisations:

• Approved international solidarity association
• Approved public interest group

The assignment can be carried out in one of the following countries:

• Abroad outside the European Union (EU) and the European Economic Area (EEA)
• In France, if you are a national or legally resident of a country outside the EU and EEA
