Youth volunteer work camps offer young people the chance to volunteer from June to October in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region on projects that benefit the community: heritage restoration, environmental protection, home improvement, etc.
The objectives are as follows:
- Experience work, leisure and community life with young people from different geographical backgrounds
- Take part in a concrete action in the general interest
- Encouraging citizenship
- Encourage learning: traditional heritage techniques, environmental and cultural practices, discovering trades.
Made up of 10 to 20 young volunteers, the groups choose an assignment lasting 2 to 3 weeks on one of the 50 work sites offered and organised by associations in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur.
No special skills are required to take part, and each young person contributes towards the cost of their stay. The work camps are aimed at young people aged between 13 and 30, from France and abroad, whether they are secondary school pupils, in health and social work training, vocational training trainees, apprentices, students, graduates, employees or job seekers.
To apply, you need to enrol in a voluntary youth work camp. You need to contact an association approved (preferably) by various ministries.
