The Region covers the cost of work placement allowances and reimbursement of travel expenses for student masseurs, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses and medical electroradiology technicians who so request.

This entitlement is not subject to any status or means test. For student masseurs, physiotherapists and occupational therapists, applications are made via the digital portal. The Ministry of Health sets the rates for placement allowances and the conditions for reimbursement of travel expenses. Payment of allowances and transport costs for students during work placements, subject to eligibility and receipt of proof of expenses.

For student nurses and medical electroradiology technicians, applications must be made at the beginning of the year directly to the training institute, which will then pay the grants on behalf of the Region. Payments are made during the training period. The conditions for awarding these grants were set out in the ministerial decrees of 31 July 2009 and 18 May 2017 for student nurses and in the decree of 14 June 2012 for student medical electroradiology technicians.
